Children’s Trust of Alachua County Seeking Applicants for Gubernatorial Recommendation

Alachua County is accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on the Children’s Trust of Alachua County (for a four-year term). Applications for the single upcoming appointment must be received by Tuesday, November 30, 2021, to be considered at the December 14, 2021, County Commission meeting.
The Alachua County Commission will consider all applications received for possible recommendation to the Governor for appointment to the Trust. The Commission will recommend three individuals. The Governor makes appointments to the Children’s Trust Board from the list of applicants recommended by the County Commission.
The Children’s Trust of Alachua County is an Independent Special District with taxing authority empowered to provide preventive, developmental, and treatment services for our local children.

Applications are available online. Applicants should download the application and save the file. Then, complete the application in its entirety, save it again, and email it to ttonkavich@alachuacounty.us.
If the Commission follows it’s own modus operandi, you can be quite certain their screening will not be recommending any individuals who have in their past, exhibited any right leaning beliefs.
