GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Today, Gainesville Mayor Harvey Ward released the following Christmas message:
Dear Friend:
I love Christmas.
I love secular Christmas, and I love Christmas in my family’s faith tradition.
But as much as I cherish everything about the season, this year there’s one gift I believe each of us can use the most.
It occurs to me that the best blessing we can give or receive right now is the gift of grace.
Grace for things done and left undone. Grace to family, grace to friends. Grace to each neighbor from each neighbor.
And so that is my Christmas wish for you, that you give and receive grace this year and that, in the words of the song, you will “Let your heart be light.”

There is no such thing as “secular Christmas”. It’s simply another woke highjacking of our nation’s Christian roots and merely celebrates consumerism and self pleasure. You can’t be all things to all people without losing yourself in the globalist destruction of our individual and religious freedoms that most Americans hold so dear. Christmas is about God’s gift of Grace through Jesus Christ, not a personal woke agenda and a false teaching of inclusiveness without regard to the falling away. Today we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and his gift of Grace to all who accept who is is and follows in obedience to his Word. God be with you. I can assure you that He has left nothing “undone”. He’s coming, be ready.

On boy. Just the grace that Harvey has, as long as it is with taxpayer funds, as in Grace Marketplace! Can’t remotely say or do anything that the Christian right would do. Oh no! Got a feeling there is increased needs at Grace Marketplace coming up!

If “Harvey” truly wanted a Merry Christmas, he would give us a Christmas Parade like every other city in America, except Muslim Minneapolis maybe.

That was a “Holiday Parade”, NOT a Christmas Parade. Big difference. Every other town had a Christmas Parade.
Christmas Parade? You gotta be totally out of touch to think a democrat would authorize or be part of an event that publicly celebrates Christmas. That would not only alienate their Muslim supporters but indicate they have something in common with the Christian right and heaven forbid: MAGA voters!
JUSUS CHRIST wouldn’t want to be affiliated with Christian nationalists or MAGA minions.
CB…Sure are a lot of new words and slogans going around these days. “Christian Nationalism” is an oxymoron created by the Demoncrats to belittle Christians. Pride in our country should not be confused with our obedience to the Holy word of God. True Christians are inclusive of everyone as Jesus Christ has told us to be. But that doesn’t mean we have to tolerate evil or practices that go against the word of God. Quite the contrary. We are expected to spread the word and stand against evil from wherever it comes. Only God will judge when he brings us all before Him. We can love God and country, and I do.
