GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Nehemiah Fredrick Morgan, 18, was arrested late last night and charged with grand theft after reportedly confessing to stealing about $1,200 from the Circle K at 1515 N. Main Street, where he was employed, over the course of about a week.

Post Miranda, Morgan admitted to taking the money to help pay his mother’s rent. He reportedly wrote a statement to the manager of the store, admitting he took the money, before the Gainesville Police Department officer arrived. Morgan has no criminal history and was released on his own recognizance.

  • Only 18 and doesn’t appreciate the value of working and a paycheck? What are high school CRT classes teaching these days?

    • Jeff… Another case of no father in sight. That’s the problem.

      • Your racism is a problem. Do you know anything about his life or where his father is? Please sit down.

  • That Circle K is a joke. It’s the same one where the employee allegedly went outside and had sex with a 12-year-old in her mom’s car during his shift. Little Caesar’s is always closed. I remember when the city had a big ribbon cutting ceremony for this marvel of green energy and job center for all the brothers and sisters on the east side. What a crock.
