  • Nice that Jennifer did the oh so rare article about the City of Alachua. However. This rezoning on 235A puts about 50 dwellings on 25 acres. This is the smallest and zoning of least impact being approved next week.
    .
On June 13 the City Commission will rezone 46 acres due north of the Alachua Lowes store to build 93 houses.

The Commission will also approve Phase One of Convergence Park to allow s.86 lots on 44 acres south of the San Felasco Parkway and north of Shaw Farms.

On June 14 the Alachua Planning and Rezoning Board will approve the “Instant slum in the middle of nowhere” AKA the Cottage Neighborhood south of the Progress Park. This will put 72 lots on 14.82 acres. That is not a typo.
