City of Gainesville to hold public meeting on local flooding impacts and adaptation plan

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The City of Gainesville Public Works Department invites all neighbors to a public meeting to learn more about local critical infrastructure and areas that are prone to flooding. They also will learn which critical infrastructure and areas are particularly vulnerable and which methods are used to develop an adaptation plan for future flooding.
When:Â 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thurs., Aug. 8
Where: 545 NW 8th Ave. (Gainesville Police Dept. headquarters)
City staff will share information about the development of an adaptation plan to address future flooding issues. The public is invited to ask questions, share concerns, and provide input on the plan.
Parking is available on NW 8th Avenue next to GPD and in the public lot located at 722 NW 6th St.
