City of Gainesville to present Key to the City to local artist Jim Wilson

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gainesville Mayor Harvey Ward will present a Key to the City to local artist Jim Wilson during the 44th Annual Downtown Festival and Art Show (DFAS) this weekend. Wilson is a professional wildlife artist whose pen, ink, and pencil drawings capture his subjects in true-to-life detail.
When: 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15
Where: Bo Diddley Plaza, 111 E. University Ave.
Wilson is among the 200 artists exhibiting at this year’s festival. DFAS, produced by the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs Department, is a weekend-long celebration of art and creativity featuring artwork, live music, and the performing arts.
The event is free and open to the public; downtown parking is free on the weekends (except in the SW Parking Garage at 105 SW 3rd St. and in spaces designated for another entity or purpose).
