City of Gainesville’s RTS Plus paratransit service to start March 1

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The City of Gainesville Regional Transit System (RTS) will begin ADA Paratransit Service, known as RTS Plus, in Gainesville on March 1, 2026. Ride scheduling will open as early as Feb 15, as booking may be made two weeks in advance.

1. Booking Methods (starting Feb 15, 2026):
   • Phone: Call (352) 393-RIDE (7433) from Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. (book 1 day to 14 days in advance).
   • App: Use the rtsplus app (Apple or Android) (book 1 day to 14 days in advance).
   • Web https://rtsplus.app.ridewithvia.com
2. Service Area: RTS Plus will be providing ADA Paratransit within the Gainesville RTS 3/4-mile fixed route service area.
3. Service Fee: The fee remains $3.00 per trip, with an option to pay via the RTSplus app or with exact fare on the vehicle (Farebox does not provide change).
4. Hours of Service
   • Weekday Service: 6 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
   • Saturday Service: 7 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
   • Sunday Service: 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
