Congresswoman Cammack votes to release the Epstein Files
Press release from the office of Rep. Kat Cammack
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Congresswoman Kat Cammack (FL-03) released the following statement after voting in favor of a petition to compel the Justice Department to release the remaining Jeffrey Epstein files, delivering long-overdue transparency and accountability:
“Going back to 2021, on multiple occasions, I have publicly called for the release of the Epstein files, so today’s vote is momentous. Before today’s vote, I sat down with survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s heinous crimes to hear their stories. Their courage has been the game-changer in helping get us one step closer to full transparency,” said Congresswoman Cammack. “For years, these women have carried the burden of these atrocities while others tried to hide the truth. I am proud to have voted for full transparency because this is about standing with survivors, exposing the truth, and finally ending the decades of cover-ups that protected Epstein and his powerful allies.”
The American people deserve to know the full truth, which is why House Republicans took decisive action to petition the Justice Department to release the files on Jeffrey Epstein. Transparency is long overdue, especially for the survivors who have waited years for accountability.
Although today’s vote is a major victory for survivors, we cannot ignore the fact that Democrats have repeatedly worked to shield information and downplay their own involvement. For years, Democrat leaders have maintained political and financial ties to Epstein that they’ve refused to fully acknowledge. U.S. Virgin Islands Delegate Stacey Plaskett took $30,000 in Epstein-linked contributions after his conviction. Additionally, she took direct instruction from Epstein during a Congressional hearing in an attempt to target President Trump. Former President Bill Clinton flew on Epstein’s plane more than two dozen times and was reportedly seen on Epstein’s island by both a victim and a former aide. High-profile figures aligned with the left — including Larry Summers, Katie Couric, and megadonor Reid Hoffman—continued associating with Epstein even after he served jail time. The DNC still refuses to return over $30,000 in Epstein-connected donations. And reports have suggested that Democrat-aligned author Michael Wolff even encouraged Epstein to “blackmail Donald Trump” during the 2016 election.
This pattern of evasion and deflection is unacceptable. The American people deserve full transparency.

About time! Go Kat Go!
I’m so tired of people making this a partisan issue. It is beyond obvious that this Mossad blackmail scheme entrapped disgusting politicians and business executive from all walks of life. Yes, we do need to hold accountable the compromised, scumbag sexual deviant politicians but just as importantly it must be made clear who exactly RUNS this decades long operation and why. The ringleaders cannot be redacted!
As much as I despise pedophile sexual deviants, the actual ringleaders are more dangerous in this instance.
I doubt anything of substance comes from this vote but we shall see…
The ‘substance’ of the document release will show mostly perverted democrat participants. Be careful what you ask for.
You can’t see the forest for the trees. (and no I’m not a damn democrat either)
Kat is a sycophant of the first order and not worthy to hold office. Thank you MTG and others for standing with the victims and forcing TACO Don’s and Kat’s hand.
Good grief how are we here today?? Pals and secrets…
One predator on another predator….
Now, the latest emails has shown Jeffrey Epstein saying Donald Trump does not have “one decent cell in his body”.
In an email to economist Larry Summers, he added: “I have met some very bad people, none as bad as Trump”.
“Not one decent cell in his body,” Epstein added.
It’s always fun to see how quickly the lefties pick up the latest talking point. Just a couple days ago, you would have said MTG was an ignorant sycophant, and now that she’s turned on Trump, you suddenly respect her.
You probably believe you’re an independent thinker, too, lol
“A broke clock is right sometimes” and it’s polite to thank them.
Funny you bring up independent thinking…Any Republican that is “An independent thinker” gets my thanks, a very rare breed these days.
Kat if you were so concerned why didn’t you sign the discharge petition? Because you are a hypocrite and totally useless. Sad I ever voted for you. It won’t happen again.
Just more partisan BS from this hack. If Republicans are so eager for the release of the files, Trump has had the power to do that overnight, anytime he wants to, so cut the crap, but get ready for more stonewalling:
“Despite congressional action, quick release of Epstein files is in doubt
The Justice Department has remained silent about its plans, and the new disclosure legislation contains major loopholes.
For the past week, official Washington has talked constantly about the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, except for the agency that has custody of the Epstein files.
The Justice Department has been silent.
On Tuesday, the House and Senate agreed to pass a bill calling on Attorney General Pam Bondi to release all unclassified information and files related to the sprawling sex trafficking investigation into the onetime powerful financier.
The Justice Department so far has continued to say nothing about how it would respond to that demand. There are many reasons to doubt that a bulk release of the files is imminent.
If President Donald Trump wanted Bondi to release all of the Epstein files, he could have ordered her to do so at any point in the past six months. He didn’t.
On Sunday, when Trump did an about-face and said House Republicans should vote in favor of releasing the Epstein files, he notably did not say he favored releasing them. Instead, he said in a social media post that the House “can have whatever they are legally entitled to, I DON’T CARE!”
What Congress is “legally entitled to” is a more complicated question than the rhetoric from Capitol Hill might imply.
The legislation that Congress agreed to pass Tuesday gives the Justice Department a few exceptions under which it can refuse to release material. Among them: If release “would jeopardize an active federal investigation or ongoing prosecution.”
On Friday, Trump ordered Bondi to launch a new federal investigation related to Epstein — this one aimed at his ties to several prominent Democrats, including former president Bill Clinton, megadonor Reid Hoffman and former treasury secretary Lawrence H. Summers. Bondi said the top federal prosecutor in New York City would take on the task.
That investigation could become a reason for the Justice Department to block release of many files. Bondi and her deputies have previously said they cannot release information about active investigations.
Other information could be covered by grand jury secrecy rules. The bill Congress agreed to pass does not explicitly waive those.
Bondi has also said many of the files cannot be released because they contain sensitive victim information and pornographic material. The legislation contains another exception allowing the Justice Department to withhold material that “would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy” or “depicts or contains child sexual abuse.”
There would not be much recourse for Congress if the Justice Department refused to hand over the files since the bill does not have any enforcement teeth.
If the House decided to issue a subpoena demanding the materials, and the Justice Department refused, the chamber’s leaders could refer officials for criminal prosecution. But it would fall to Bondi to decide whether to prosecute herself or her deputies, rendering that threat potentially empty….”

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think Pam Bondi is a Republicanista (that’s the equivalent label for the GOP which ignorantly insists on mislabeling their opposition the “Democrat Party” – it’s “Democratic Party” you stupid knee-jerk twit.)
Jazzman, honest question….do you think our government has continued to obstruct transparency on this issue for over a decade in order to protect the blackmailed or the blackmailers?
Don’t know, but maybe. Just reviewed his Wikipedia page and his associations and “marks” were mostly finance and rich people, not politicians, though there were some of them. His supposed easy deal after the Palm Beach conviction was processed by a US Attorney who has claimed he was told Epstein was an intelligence operative of some sort and that’s why they went easy. There appears to be some basis for that to be tru going back to his days in the 80’s and 90s when he operated much of the time out of Europe.
Somebody besides Wolf will write the book probably and it could be a fascinating movie.
