Cornell reappointed as Chair of FAC Policy Committee

Press release from Alachua County
ALACHUA COUNTY, Fla. – At the recent Florida Association of Counties (FAC) Annual Meeting, Alachua County Commissioner Ken Cornell was re-appointed chair of the Community & Urban Affairs Policy Committee for the 2025–2026 term.
As one of FAC’s standing committees, the Community & Urban Affairs (CUA) Committee is tasked with developing and recommending an annual statewide legislative platform for counties based on the issue areas under their jurisdiction. The CUA committee will primarily consider and address issues including, but not limited to, the following:
- Growth Management
- Development, Planning and Zoning
- State and Regional Transportation
- Strategic Intermodal System Issues
- Affordable Housing
“I am so grateful for this opportunity to continue the work of this critical committee,” Cornell said. “I have seen firsthand the importance of counties having a strong voice in Tallahassee as we advocate for home-rule protections and our residents.”

I don’t know why they put me in charge of growth management when I couldn’t even to manage my own growth that is why I have to wear platform shoes.
Remember how he was wearing the face diaper & being a tyrant during the big lie?
Amazing that until Uncle Ken came along, counties realized “affordable housing” was a city project, not a county responsibility.
Who cares!! Post something important.
These groups are where all the moon bat elitist ideas come from that harm our county and only serve as an echo chamber for big government and leftist policy agenda. He will fit in great.
