Crews are working a brush fire on Newberry Road

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Alachua County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to use caution in the 8000 block of West Newberry Road, where crews are battling an active brush fire.

ASO Deputies and Alachua County Fire Rescue are on scene at the 8000 block of W. Newberry Rd. for an active brush fire that is approximately the size of a football field.

Due to the amount of emergency resources on scene, please use caution when driving through the area.
