Crews extinguish trailer fire in Fairbanks area

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Fire crews extinguished a non-residential trailer fire this morning in the Fairbanks area of northeast Alachua County.

At about 11:19 a.m. on May 5, crews from Gainesville Fire Rescue and Alachua County Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire in the Fairbanks area and found a non-dwelling trailer that was fully involved in flames. The first crews quickly contained the fire to the trailer and prevented it from spreading to nearby brush, woods, and another structure.

No injuries were reported, and the fire was under control within 10-15 minutes.

Alachua County Fire Rescue reminds everyone that the county is under a burn ban.
