December 13 COVID data update

According to the state dashboard, Alachua County reported an increase of 68 positive COVID-19 tests with an official test positivity rate of 6.91% on a day with a low number of reported test results. No new deaths were reported.
Of the people whose positive tests came back yesterday, 8 were 65 or older (this is the important number to track because those are the people who are more likely to have bad outcomes).
A total of 106 deaths have been reported in the county, 36 of which were in long-term care.
The overall number of people (from all counties) hospitalized here for COVID-19 decreased from 123 to 111.
State COVID-19 hospitalizations increased to 4,687 today.
The state reported 8,958 new positive tests (official positivity rate of 7.89%) and a net increase of 81 deaths, 16 of which were from long-term care facilities.
Changes in the number of deaths were reported on 44 different dates, going back to August 21. Changes by month: August (+10), September (+7), November (+31), December (+33)
The peaks are on July 30 (234) and August 4 (237), and the 7-day moving average peak is August 5 (225).
The 7-day average plateau between July 25 and August 7 has been stable since I started reporting the peaks on August 27.

As we learn more about Covid, China, the election, National debt from Covid, what country owns a substantial part of our debt, changes in the Federal Reserve Chair, bailouts for banks and automotive in that term, high tech visions within China, control of media by companies desiring to expand markets to China…we know why Trump was focused on buying our own National Debt and bringing manufacturers back home.
China has been here all along as well as Russia. The major war game remains….divide and conquer. We are at that gate. A physical wall will only serve our southern border, yet a wall built of self sufficiency must prevail. And that will take us through more difficult times as we build it.
Pelosi and Harris will welcome the demise of Joe. They want to take control. We must retain control of the senate.
We all know the Covid story by now. We don’t really know anything based on all the data bases that have been used to maximize deaths, positive tests and fear.
