To access the program, students should go to www.sbac.edu/tutor. They will then select the appropriate link for their grade level and log in to the myPortal system with the Active Directory user name and password they use to log in to computers at school.
The program is being funded through federal ESSER (Elementary and Secondary Emergency Relief) funds, which are intended to help students and schools recover from the effects of the COVID pandemic.
We offer once a very long time ago help in the evenings at the school. A few Teachers were paid a fair tutoring stipend to do an 6 to 8:30
PM shift in the school library. Started off once a week and then finished up 3 days a week due to demand. School improvement funds were used.
2 Faculty English Teachers and the same for Math. Math is especially hard to do over the phone it often needs an intensive one on one opportunity. Highly successful program. In lower grades parent drop off / parent signed pickup required.
I personally did a number of these it was a huge help.
