If the voters are Democrats…..you can count on it. Logic isn’t their strong suit.
Unfortunately, the Republicans and others have not shown up for this vote yet. At the same time, the Democrats have voted so far, a little over 3000. But there are Democrats who are voting no. As the former City Auditor employed soon after the GREC biomass fiasco had been perpetrated (likely with some bought off officials) through hiding the details and changing the RFP to 100 MW instead of 50MW, I studied the process and details for 6 months before issuing a very lengthy report which identified many detrimental processes all apparently OK’d with the City Commission. It is my firm experienced opinion that the City Commission should NEVER be in charge of GRU again.

I guess the Air Force doesn’t screen it’s contractors for understanding the democracy it is sworn to defend, and probably not necessary, but you do not have it’s authority behind your anti-American opinion.

They’ve voted to elect & re-elect people who have proven to be financially incompetent and poor stewards of tax revenue.
Some people are just so gullible, ignorant and just plain naive they keep voting for those types.

For Democrats in Gainesville paying increased taxes is the cost to remain in control, so they can decide how to spend your increased taxes.

I know Jake is stupid and so would anyone be who voted to relinquish their ability to control GRU by future voting. The “authority” answers to no one, and certainly not the citizens of Gainesville.
