Driver seriously injured in NW 34th Street crash

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gainesville Fire Rescue crews responded this morning to a serious rollover accident near the intersection of NW 37th Ave and NW 34th St. The driver has been rescued and was treated for serious injuries.

Omg the car looks like it got a scratch.
It will soon enuf be a great deal on the lot at Used Cars R Us. Just a little wear and tear, last driven on a Saturday church outing.
Lot’s of single car accidents with fatality and/or serious injury lately. Also, people getting run over while walking in the road. Distracted driving(cellphone)? Distracted walking?
Sometimes single car accidents are due to a health crisis on the part of the driver. Worked at Shands ER. Lots of heart attack/seizure/stroke accidents.

There are collisions on this stretch of NW 34th Street frequently. It’s too fast for the amount of traffic and hills.
Additionally, there are too many terrible, uninsured drivers on the road. I frequent 2-lane roads in Gainesville, and several times I’ve had drivers pass me by crossing double-yellow lines. I guess GPD has its hands busy with all of housing projects and homeless people around.
