GAINESVILLE, Fla. – We are honored to continue the tradition started in 2015 of recognizing the strong, ambitious, and passionate women making a difference in the Greater Gainesville community.

When creating this award program, we wanted to celebrate women with certain character traits worth emulating. Women who are natural leaders. Women who change the world. Not all of them have a mission to change the world, but when they get behind something – they make an impact. Fierce women are driven and compassionate, leading with motivation to help others succeed because, together, we achieve more.

Fierce women are independent. They are not defined by the people they are with, jobs they hold, or what anyone else can do for them. What makes them Fierce is how they choose to respond, react, engage, assist, lead, and participate.

We had over 100 applicants for the 2024 Fierce Awards, and after 6 weeks of intense judging, the scores are in!

More than an awards ceremony, this annual event is an illuminating celebration that shines a spotlight on the resilience, empowerment, and influence of these exceptional women. Our esteemed keynote speaker this year is Lacey Jones, a past FIERCE Award winner, who will share her inspiring journey and offer a profound message to all in attendance. The Lori Emmer Cain Legacy Award will also be presented to an outstanding woman of great achievement, with a heartfelt journey. Join us in the celebration of these FIERCE women.
