Fight at Eastside High School leads to two arrests

BY JENNIFER CABRERA

Xavier Zuriel Robinson, 19, and Dawan Johnson, 16, were arrested yesterday following a fight at Eastside High School.

According to a statement from Alachua County Sheriff’s Office and Robinson’s arrest report, a physical fight broke out at the school yesterday around 1:00 p.m. Johnson was arrested for battery on a law enforcement officer for kicking a deputy, and Robinson was reportedly involved in the fight and attempted to pull away from a deputy who was attempting to detain him.

Emergency medical services were provided at the scene to treat minor injuries, including exposure to pepper spray.

Robinson has been charged with two counts of disturbing the peace and one count of resisting an officer. He was released on a signature bond prior to First Appearance.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • If there was any blood from the fight, he can mop it up himself.

    • I have a mop like that that I do my floors with.
The judge at first appearance should order him
To get a haircut…that’s not considered cruel & unusual
Punishment, is it? He needs to have respect for the
Court when he appears before the judge. My lawyers
Made me get a haircut and dress nice when I appeared
Before the judge. He should have had to post a bond.

      • You say this under every black males post who has hair. You must be an old bald prejudice creep. Stop worrying about a culture that isn’t yours and die alone in your rocking chair grandpa

  • Vote Nathan Skop for tougher sentences on these thugs! He’s running for District 8 judge seat! Repeat offenders need to have the book thrown at them!

Btw, what is a 19 year old doing at a high school anyway?
