Fire crews quickly limit damage from residential bathroom fire

ALACHUA, Fla. – At 11:40 p.m. on Thursday night, crews from Alachua County Fire Rescue and Gainesville Fire Rescue responded to a report of a house fire in Turkey Creek.
Upon arrival, crews found a fire in the bathroom that had begun to spread into the attic space. Crews quickly put out the fire and stopped its progress, limiting damage to the home. The fire was determined to be caused by a faulty bathroom vent fan. There were no injuries.
