Fire rescue crews extricate one, transport three to hospital after Newberry crash

NEWBERRY, Fla. – Alachua County Fire Rescue and Newberry Fire Department responded at 6 p.m. this evening to a two-vehicle accident at 24252 W. Newberry Road. Crews found one vehicle on its side, with one occupant entrapped. Crews used the Jaws of Life hydraulic extrication equipment to remove the patient from the overturned vehicle. Three patients were transported to local hospitals for evaluation.
