Firefighters respond to residential fire in Kanapaha Highlands

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Alachua County Fire Rescue crews responded to a residential fire in Kanapaha Highlands last night.
Just before 11 p.m. on June 28, crews responded to a home on SW 107th Street and found a large fire, with flames coming through the roof. Crews worked diligently for multiple hours to keep the fire from spreading and eventually mitigated all hazards. There were no injuries.
Investigators determined that the fire was caused by an unspecified equipment failure.
