Five arrested, 27 ejected from UF football game against Miami

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Police arrested five people and ejected a total of 27 individuals from the football game at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday, August 31, five of whom were students at the University of Florida.

According to a release from the University of Florida Police Department, ejections were for the following incidents:

  • Alcohol possession – 7
  • Disorderly conduct – 6
  • Intoxicated person – 3
  • Wrong section – 3
  • Smoking – 3
  • No ticket – 3
  • Entering the field after the game – 1
  • Ticket swapping – 1

Arrests were made for the following incidents:

  • Possession of alcohol under 21 – 3
  • Trespass after warning – 1
  • Entering the field after the game – 1
    • Wonder if the city or county can convince the remaining teams on the schedule to consider more equitable treatment of the Gators.

        • That may have been one of the longest games I’ve ever seen. If the rest of the season even slightly resembles this game, it’s going to be a really, really long season.
          Remember when everyone looked forward to playing Vandy? Starting to think most teams look at playing UF the same way now.

          • We beat the Samford Bulldogs in 2021, but it was 52-70. We may be in for another whipping next week.

  • Is disorderly offensive lack of coordination a crime? Good grief this group of talented players deserve better. Billy at least needs to step aside from play calling just to see how good we are.

  • I thought Napier was giving up the play calling to someone more in tune with the way football is played in the SEC,guess he’s trying to get fired so they pay him out faster!
