Flags at half-staff in honor of Pope Francis

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis issued the following proclamation:

On Monday, April 21, 2025, Pope Francis passed away at the age of 88.

Pursuant to the President’s order and as a mark of respect, I hereby direct the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at all local and state buildings, installations, and grounds throughout the State of Florida until sunset on the day of interment.

  • This proclamation is odd. What does this have to do with the US or Florida?

      • The first church in North America was a Catholic church. The Cathedral of St. Augstine stands on the grounds.

        • “Mission San Francisco de Potano was a Spanish mission near Alachua and Gainesville, Florida, United States. The mission of San Francisco de Potano was founded in 1606 by the Franciscans Father Martín Prieto and Father Alonso Serrano. It was the first doctrina (a mission with a resident priest) in Florida west of the St. Johns River. The mission was at the south edge of present-day San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park (“San Felasco” is derived from the 18th-century Seminole pronunciation of “San Francisco”).[2]”

    • I agree.
Find it very, odd that Hillbilly was there.
Did Hillbilly slip the Pope something.
We all know the Chump wants his diabolical maggat to be nominated for the Popes position.

We all know that Good will prevail over maggats.

And, the New Pope will NOT be a Conservative, maggat.

      Thank you Holy Spirit !
