Former Bronson teacher/coach charged with additional sexual offenses with 14-year-old boy
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Billy McCall, Jr., 34, who has been in the Alachua County Jail since last July on charges of molesting and battering two juvenile boys, has now been charged with four additional counts of lewd or lascivious behavior and other charges related to a third victim. The arrest affidavit notes that law enforcement is aware of six additional victims besides the two victims involved in the original charges.
The victim, who is now an adult, was 14 and in sixth grade when he began spending time at McCall’s apartment; the detective noted that his interview with the victim indicated that McCall had groomed, intimidated, controlled, bribed, and manipulated the victim over a three-year period.
The victim said McCall often gave him marijuana and required him to call every day to check in; he said McCall wanted hugs instead of handshakes and wanted to be called “Pops.” McCall reportedly bought food and clothes for the boy and paid for basketball trips.
The victim said McCall made him weigh in naked, saying it would help him coach the boy better, and McCall would comment on the victim’s genitals during the weigh-ins. The victim said McCall began asking him whether he masturbated and offered him 56 grams of marijuana in exchange for a video showing him masturbating. The victim said McCall later wanted to see his face and genitalia in the videos and wanted to hear audio. He said McCall got upset when his instructions were not followed.
The victim said McCall later offered to buy him a pair of Air Jordans if he would masturbate while he watched; the victim also said McCall made him take videos of himself while masturbating in the locker room before a basketball game.
The victim said that in the car and at his apartment, McCall would fondle him until he ejaculated. McCall also allegedly showered with the victim and anally raped him at least five times.
The victim said McCall threatened him with a gun while saying he’d better not do anything to
“f*** up” his life by telling his mother or law enforcement about the incidents.
The victim said that after he stopped associating with McCall, he demanded $5,000 for not reporting McCall to law enforcement. McCall reportedly did not pay, but the victim did not report the incidents until last summer.
A search warrant of McCall’s phone reportedly revealed a photo of a firearm matching the description of the one the victim said McCall used to threaten him, multiple videos of juveniles playing video games at McCall’s house, a recording of the victim’s attempt to collect $5,000, and multiple deleted images and videos of the victim in the shower that appeared to be recorded with a concealed camera.
McCall was previously a teacher and coach at Bronson Middle School but allegedly brought at least some of the victims to his Gainesville apartment.
The new charges include four counts of lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim between 12 and 16 years of age, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, use of a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony, promoting the sexual performance of a child, and possession of child pornography. There are also eight counts of mortgage fraud over $100,000, but that information does not appear in the arrest report.
McCall has been in the Alachua County Jail since last July on bail of $650,000 and is scheduled for a change of plea hearing on July 13.

He’s obviously a victim of systemic racism. Poor guy.
He’s going to prison for sure if he’s found guilty. Them boys in prison are going to fu€k him up after they do a background on him. I’ve been there and seen what happens to punks cho-moes like him. He’s done for and that’s some real shït.
As they say, some are sicker than others. This is certainly one of those.
Take him back to Levy County. I’m pretty sure they’ll deal with it in a more appropriate manner than the liberal courts here.
He will reofend a life sentence with no possibility of parole
Monster hiding Sheep’s skin. At least he has been caught. It’s probably to bold to say “never to see the light of a day again” given the local judicial system.
