Former pharmacist on probation arrested for burglary and property damage after former boyfriend reportedly finds her in his bedroom
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Christine Anne Brunetti, 42, was arrested yesterday after her former boyfriend allegedly woke up to find her standing over his bed, holding his cat; after he asked her to leave, she allegedly damaged his door and threw a patio chair through a window. Brunetti, who was a pharmacist when she was last arrested in 2023, is on probation for aggravated stalking.
An Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a home in the Eagle Point subdivision, where the victim reportedly said he awakened at about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night to find Brunetti standing over his bed, holding his cat. He said she asked him why he had stopped speaking to her three weeks ago, following a two-month relationship. She reportedly demanded her trailer back, and the victim said it was parked out front and escorted her to the front door.
The victim said that he closed and locked the door after she left, but she immediately started banging on the door and trying to open it. Brunetti allegedly picked up a patio chair and threw it at a nearby window, shattering the window. The victim said he pressed the panic alarm button for his vehicle, and Brunetti left in her vehicle.
The deputy reported that the front door was damaged and the top half of the window was shattered, with glass shards on the floor and on furniture inside the house. The victim’s roommate reportedly told the deputy that he heard banging on the front door, and when he walked to the front door, he saw the window get “smashed” and heard a truck leave.
The victim told the deputy that Brunetti never lived at the house and never had a key. He estimated the damage at about $650.
Brunetti was reportedly arrested the next day at her home. Post Miranda, she reportedly declined to answer questions. She has been charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling and property damage over $200.
Brunetti has one felony conviction (one violent) after entering a plea of nolo contendere in the aggravated stalking case; a charge of sending a written threat to kill was dropped as part of the plea deal, and she was sentenced to three years of probation, with adjudication of guilt withheld. Judge Kristine Van Vorst ordered her held without bail pending a hearing on a motion from the State Attorney’s Office to hold her without bail until trial.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.Â
That D IS MAJOR.. that loco after 2 months of Dating 🫠🫠ðŸ«
She threw some hawk tuah on that window tho. LOLOLOL.
Oh no… she’s been crazy. For a long long time… this guy is just lucky he found out as quickly as he did with little damage…
Oh my Lort! A baby Reindeer indeed. I actually learned from this that I could activate my car alarm from inside in hopes to attract a response to send help. She should never be trusted to handle any drugs for others , I need to know that the kitty was safe as well please
This poor guy has become this Loon’s precious.
This young lady likely fell victim to temptation of products that were supposed to be legally dispensed to others. Sad, what a waste after achieving a valued profession.
Former pharmacist? She’s still actively working according to the Dept. of Health. I’d be scared to have her as my pharmacist.
She was no longer a “Pharmacist “ so to speak. She left her pharmacy job and was a IV infusion pharm.
They should have adjudicated prosecution in 2023.
That first slap on the wrist did nothing. Adjudication withheld and everything, so she ain’t scurred
Adjudication withheld on prior conviction will be undone by this, plus violation of probation. Plus the new charges. Her prior charges were over a 2 week relationship. This is nothing new, she had similar charges before that with slaps on the wrist and little consequences. I think she’s used up all her second chances. I hope she was not still allowed to be a pharmacist but she definitely won’t be one any more now. People, please do background checks on anyone you consider letting into your life. That guy is wishing he had right now!
I totally agree with you.
