Former UF student and Shands employee sentenced to 20 years in prison for possession of child pornography

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – James Harold Major, 21, has been sentenced to 20 years in state prison, followed by 10 years of sex offender probation, after entering a plea of nolo contendere to 27 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of unlawful use of a two-way communications device.
Major, who was a UF student and UF Health Patient Care Assistant, was arrested in October 2024 after Gainesville Police Department investigated a CyberTip about child sexual abuse material on a Google Drive account.
On August 28, Major entered a plea of nolo contendere to all of the charges, which have a maximum sentence of 839.3 years, according to the plea agreement. Judge James Colaw sentenced him to five concurrent 15-year prison sentences, followed by 11 concurrent 5-year prison sentences, and then followed by 11 concurrent sentences of 10 years of sexual offender probation. A five-year prison sentence on the charge of unlawful use of a two-way communications device will be served concurrently with the 10-year prison sentence. He will also be designated as a Sexual Offender.
Good thing he made a plea.
There’s only been a 1/2 dozen or so people who’ve lived to be older than 800.
Unless he does what’s needed, he’ll likely spend a lot more time than that in Hell though.

I can’t wait to see his my 1st day at prison FLDOC inmate picture with a shaved head maybe this week if ASO loads him up and drives him to Lake Butler. Man they grow up so fast don’t they? And just think in 20 years he will be graduated from prison. Time flies right. That’s assuming he makes it that long. I am going with he doesn’t make it that long.

Epstein pleaded guilty on June 30, 2008 to two state felony counts in Florida: procuring a minor for prostitution and soliciting prostitution from a minor .
• Sentence: He received an 18-month jail sentence.
• Implementation: Most of the sentence was served under a work-release arrangement, allowing him to leave the Palm Beach County stockade up to 12 hours a day for office work—even though standard policy made such privileges ineligible for sex offenders .
• Actual incarceration: Epstein served almost 13 months in jail, followed by a year of probation/house arrest until August 2010

You should do a follow up to this story. Because our little pedo has finally gone to Lake Butler and has his my 1st day at FLDOC picture taken. he will grown up so fast and in just 20 years assuming he lives that long he will be graduated from FLDOC a new man for sure on 10/11/44. You should make this a column where you post follows with my 1st day at FLDOC pictures. I know some people on here have been held back in school and they keep repeating kinder prison by getting their picture taken multiply times but here if it’s a story you did here and they get the free bus ride from 39th Ave to Union County we want to see those repeat offenders pics too.
