Staff report from Gainesville Fire Rescue social media post
GAINESVILLE, Fla – Four people were transported to a local hospital, including two trauma alerts, after a crash on NW 39th Avenue on Thursday evening.
At about 7 p.m. on May 15, Gainesville Fire Rescue responded to the 3100 block of NW 39th Ave for a vehicle accident.
Upon arrival, Q8 B-Shift found one person entrapped and upgraded the call to a vehicle accident with extrication. E7, Squad 1, and District 2 responded, along with multiple Alachua County Fire Rescue crews.
A total of four patients were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries; one adult and one child were trauma-alerted due to their injuries.
Gainesville Fire Rescue would like to remind drivers to be aware of their surroundings and always wear seatbelts.
Odds are one of them ran a redlight. I see it SO often; moreover, they are usually exceeding the speed limit but at least 20 miles an hour.
Well, now that I look at the location….not likely. Not sure how that happened.
Someone pulled out of one of the side streets and ran into on coming traffic. Was not a traffic light but that does happen often as well.
