Franson: When you vote, remember the animals who suffered under the County’s mandate

Letter to the editor
I want to honor in remembrance our animals, especially the cats and dogs who were subjected to suffering imposed upon them by the abusive decisions and behaviors of all our county commissioners, and especially our County Manager, Michele Lieberman. The cats and dogs who survived the County’s mandate were (after six years) liberated in 2023. May we never forget, especially at this election time.
Let us not forget abuse of any kind, especially by those who have the power to solve a problem but choose not to.
In remembrance with love and value of our animals. Dear animals, thank you forever.
Adele Franson, Gainesville

A little context would be very helpful
6 years of constant communication by multiple people to our county comsisioners, county manager and all county involvedThe complaintants were abused and the many suffering animals were left to suffer and yes die. 2018 to2023. Documents available to validate Thank you for asking
What Adele is referring to is a disturbing animal abuse case that was reported to multiple authorities but went unaddressed for six years. Key officials—including then-Director of Animal Control Ed Williams, Michelle Lieberman, the County Commissioners, and the Sheriff’s Department—failed to investigate.
I’m including the four articles below for context. Personally, I’m still appalled with how things were handled—mishandled—we can be better than this.

With all due respect, what are you writing about?
thank you for asking. As content states for 6 years people and animals suffered abuse by our county employees commissioners .manager . Animal Services director Ed Williams and others If more info needed call for public records
The Animals? “Well, there is a house in New Orleans
They call the Rising Sun
And it’s been the ruin of many a poor boy . . .”
All this time I thought it was only conservatives that were subjected to the suffering imposed upon them by the abusive decisions and behaviors of all our county commissioners.
I think the writer refers the the woes at Animal Control, which barely hit the local news. But I’m not sure either 🤔🤔
I can only assume that Adele Franson wants people to vote for people who most closely hold to biblical morality since Proverbs 12:10 (KJV) reminds us:, “A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: But the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.”
This rules out 99.9999% of Democrats. They aren’t even merciful to the weakest of all people—unborn babies.
Kamala told Christians who shouted, “Jesus is Lord!” at a recent rally that they were at the wrong rally.
Please elaborate. Names, dates, witnesses. Just the facts
Sorry, I didn’ elaborate as I should have. I believe there are many documents available through public records 352 264 6906. Also a past account was in he Alachua Chronical. 6 depressing years were spent asking for help for suffering and dying aimal. ALL of the present couny commissioners, county manager Michelle Lieberman then ed Williams county animal services director responses to our constant plea for help was to cite me for ” failure to treat your animals humanely” also to take 38 pictures of my house and property and have surveillance of my property by an animal services officer.

The way this doesn’t make sense reminds me of a Trump speech.
For context I believe Ms. Franson is referring to the situation she wrote about in a previous Letter to the Editor:
https://alachuachronicle.com/franson/
Summary:
Citing her own experience with the county, Franson criticizes Lieberman’s handling of animal abuse cases, including one involving an elderly woman whose dogs suffered from neglect and another involving a severely ill dog denied humane euthanasia.
Franson asserts that these cases reveal failures in animal services management under Lieberman’s leadership, calling for improvements in self-evaluation, respect, and accountability to align with the county’s mission and vision.
Well said thank you. One correction Yes, many dogs were denied care, also many cats and their owners. My purpose is not to dwell but always to remember and remind and respond to abuse. In this sad situation the injustices were swept under the rug by our county representatives no help, no accountability
