Frazer math team wins state championship in dominating fashion

Press release from The Frazer School
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Frazer High math team set a state championship record, winning by an all-time-high margin of 576 points, with longtime rival American Heritage Broward coming in a distant second. The Frazer team also amassed a total of 198 trophies during the championship and will be heading to the National Mu Alpha Theta Championship in Frisco, Texas in late June.
The competition took place this past weekend in Orlando, with 41 teams and 980 students from across Florida competing.
Head Coach Will Frazer said, “Winning by 576 points was well past the largest I could have imagined. Our kids competed in about 40 events, and there were very few areas where we could have performed better. Our kids worked very hard and were well-prepared. We are excited to now take a break and then start focusing on nationals.”
Principal Fayiga said, “I love spending time with these amazing kids. They work hard and are so supportive of their teammates. I could not be prouder of them and their performance.”
