Head Social Studies Coach David Geering said, “I am extremely proud of these kids and how they have performed in our first year in existence. I am also excited about our future because we have so many young kids who are performing at a very high level.”

  • Great to see these bright young minds receive recognition for their hard work and achievements.

  • I hope this news serves as an inspiration for not only Frazer School but also for the children of Gainesville to further their learning journey. This is a remarkable achievement, and I am truly proud of it.

  • Congratulations to Frazer scholars for setting high standards. May all local students learn from your fine examples.

  • My understanding is that Frazer School is a for-profit corporation, receiving approximately $8k per student, per year, of our Florida tax dollars, with unclear accountability to us Florida taxpayers. I would’ve posted this under the Frazer School expansion article, but the Chronicle didn’t include a comment section. How much money is the school’s owner making? Seems like a fair question.

    • It seems like the Frazer School has a business model that works. Good for the administration, teachers, students, parents, and taxpayers. My three kids had Mr. Frazer when they attended BHS and of course he was a favorite of all three.

    • I am afraid the answer to this fair question is “much less than zero”, which is why TFS parents like me are sincerely grateful to the owners for their vision, fortitude and generosity.
