Frazer teams dominate the Swamp Classic Quiz Bowl Tournament

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Frazer School hosted a Quiz Bowl tournament for middle schoolers around the state on Saturday, February 14. Quiz Bowl is a game in which teams compete head-to-head to answer questions from all areas of knowledge, including history, literature, science, fine arts, current events, popular culture, sports, and more.
The Frazer School had 3 teams participate in the competition.
- Team A: Isabella Mendoza, Arthur Lou, Pranav Nadakuduti, Brayden Wagner
- Team B: Lorien Johnson, Samvar Jain, Colton Roche, Samuel Dong
- Team C: Daniel Zheng, Tovy Guan, Riley Liu, Austin Li, Austin Liu
Frazer Team A won the tournament with a 9–1 record, and Frazer Team B placed second with a 9–1 record as well, earning wins against Midtown Classical, Lincoln Middle School, Mason Classical, and other competitors. Team A and Team B were in close competition throughout the day, with Team B going 7–0 and Team A finishing 6–1 in the preliminary rounds. However, in the final playoff round, Frazer Team A came out on top, winning 385 to 225.
Seven Frazer School students placed in the top 10: Isabella Mendoza took second place with 81 points per game, Daniel Zheng took third place with 61 points per game, Lorien Johnson took sixth place with 41 points per game, Samuel Dong took seventh place with 40 points per game, Colton Roche took ninth place with 32 points per game, and Brayden Wagner and Samvar Jain tied for tenth place with 27 points per game.
Coach David Geering remarked, “I am so proud of all the players. Competing takes practice and diligent study of a variety of topics”.
Both Teams A and B will travel to the 2026 Middle School National Championship Tournament (MSNCT) held in Chicago May 8-10. Prior to this tournament, Frazer School had qualified three teams.

Well….there you go….it can be done! Clean cut, uniforms, no behavior issues and superior outcomes. So…..why aren’t the school board members adopting their methods instead of their woke BS?
