Ft. White man arrested for fleeing on four-wheeler in Archer, crashing into deputy’s patrol vehicle
Staff report
ARCHER, Fla. – Tyler Malik Bryant, 20, of Ft. White, was arrested last night after allegedly fleeing from a deputy on a four-wheeler and crashing into a patrol vehicle.
At about 8:51 p.m. on April 5, Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputies were monitoring a block party in the 17200 block of SW Archer Road; a deputy noted that these block parties “are known for violence to include gunfire, fights, and reckless driving.”
The deputy reported that a four-wheeler drove out onto SW Archer Road and spun a donut in the road, completing a U-turn and traveling back north on SW 174th Street, “spinning out and driving recklessly”; the four-wheeler was reportedly traveling at high speed around a neighborhood and did not stop at stop signs.
After a deputy saw the four-wheeler run the stop sign at SW 174th Street and SW Archer Road, he began following the direction the four-wheeler had taken and then saw it coming back toward him; the deputy activated his overhead lights to conduct a traffic stop, and the four-wheeler stopped briefly. The deputy got out of his patrol vehicle and spoke to the driver, later identified as Bryant; the deputy reported that the driver smiled at him, and after the deputy warned him not to run, the driver accelerated away from him.
Other deputies responded to look for the four-wheeler, and a second deputy saw the four-wheeler and tried to catch up to it, but the four-wheeler reportedly changed directions after spinning a donut in the roadway and crashed into the second deputy’s patrol vehicle, where he was taken into custody.
Bryant has been charged with fleeing from law enforcement with lights activated. He has no criminal convictions, but there is a pending sworn complaint from when he was a juvenile, charging him with possession of tobacco products by a minor. Judge Meshon Rawls ordered him released on his own recognizance.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law

Wait a minute… An adult commits blatant felony fleeing, causes a crash, driving an unlicensed vehicle on the roadway. Gets ROR? The wheels of justice might as well flee the statue books. Folks we are cooked with this kind of lackadaisical judicial attitued not holding people accountable. That just sent a message to this clown he can pretty much do what he wants.
Not to mention that the taxpayers will most likely be on the hook for the damage to the police vehicle. This child needs a spanking of some sort. Maybe instead of fines that many don’t pay, a lot of community service (including roadside cleanup) is in order.
“but the four-wheeler reportedly changed directions after spinning a donut in the roadway and crashed into the second deputy’s patrol vehicle,”
LOL … idiot got what he deserved.
So far, he has only gotten a get out of jail free card.
Some people just are not that smart and still want to act like childern
Not too many geniuses in Archer.
