Fugitive out of Duval County arrested for breaking glass door at business
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Robert Dillon Donaldson, 33, was arrested after allegedly breaking the glass door of a business by punching it with his fist wrapped in a shirt.
At about 2:52 a.m. on May 29, a Gainesville Police Department officer responded to a burglar alarm at a shopping plaza in the 1700 block of SW 13th Street, and Donaldson reportedly approached the officer and spontaneously said that he had damaged the door. The damage to the door is estimated at $1,200.
The officer reported that surveillance video showed Donaldson walking up to the front door of the business, wrapping his hand in a black shirt, and punching the door until the glass broke.
During a search incident to arrest, Donaldson reportedly said he had a “meth pipe,” and a pipe was reportedly found in the pocket of a secondary pair of pants.
Post Miranda, Donaldson reportedly did not want to answer any questions.
Donaldson has been charged with felony property damage and possession of drug paraphernalia. His full criminal history is unavailable, but he is on probation out of Duval County for burglary and is listed as a fugitive on the Florida Department of Corrections website. Judge George Wright set bail at $15,000.

This POS has manage to come from Ohio all the way to little old Gainesville’s open arms to continue his criminal trade.
Just curious where you got Ohio from? It said Duval which is Jacksonville, Florida. Sounds like he ran from there because of the same stupid crimes. Gainesville does need to Crack down on the druggies and quit letting them get away with literal murder.
Run his name and arrests pop up in Ohio, Tennessee. Hard to hide that face from Mugshots.
He hurt how good the homeless and useless people have it in alachua county and the city of wokeville is closer going to California to be treated the same way
He needn’t worry—there’s still plenty of space on that empty cranium for more ink.
I wonder if other cities have as much ‘advertisements’ for Gainesville criminals? On the other hand, maybe he’s just here for the culture and art.
Obviously he knew Gainesville provides the best hospitality when summer humidity kicks in.

Looks like he works for Satan..make him feel at home by making jail hell for him.
“he is on probation out of Duval County for burglary and is listed as a fugitive on the Florida Department of Corrections website.”
And…of course that’s why he came to our liberal fair(y) sanctuary land of no consequences.
Wonderful to see that the City Commission continues to attract such criminal talent to Gainesville.
The word has gone out nation-wide: if you are fleeing the law, immigration, or just basic employment, come to the hick town of Gainesville, FL–where the uneducated rubes in city government still haven’t figured out that the more you give to the homeless, the more homeless you get.
I propose that we build a giant statue downtown in their honor, modelled on that famous one in New York, except ours will be called the Statue of Giberty:
“Gib me your lazy, your bums,
Your unemployed masses yearning to rob and pillage,
The wretched refuse of your revolving-door courts.
Send these, the homeless, drug-addicts to me,
I light my burning dumpster on The Streatery!”
“I light my burning dumpster on The Streatery!”
