Gainesville man arrested for battering emergency medical staff after allegedly attacking people praying at a mosque
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Mahmoud Mohamed Elbadawy, 31, was arrested yesterday and charged with battering emergency medical staff at a Shands Emergency Room after allegedly attacking people who were praying at a mosque.
At about 7:30 p.m. on December 11, Elbadawy was being treated at the UF Health Shands Emergency Room at 1515 SW Archer Road when doctors reportedly ordered that he be restrained due to his “aggressive and unpredictable behavior.”
Elbadawy reportedly broke free of the restraints, and two emergency medical staff members responded to restrain him again. Elbadawy allegedly sat up, grabbed one of the employees around her neck, and scratched her several times. Several other staff members were reportedly needed to restrain Elbadawy.
The responding Gainesville Police Department officer noted that the victim had deep scratch marks on her face that were bleeding and that she also suffered an arm injury.
Post Miranda, Elbadawy declined to answer any questions.
The officer also noted that prior to this incident, Elbadawy allegedly forced his way into a mosque and attacked several people while they were praying. None of the victims reportedly wanted to press charges.
Elbadawy, who is an Uber driver according to court records, has been charged with battery on emergency personnel, a felony. He has one misdemeanor conviction; Judge Mark Moseley released him on his own recognizance.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.Â
Nice judge. I bet he voted for Obama and Biden.
I bet he voted for Trump the wannabe dictator.
Dictator? How so? Idiot.
you people are deranged
If he would of had judge Colaw he’d be looking at some state prison time.
Crazy as a bed bug. He’s got those AOC eyes.
Mr. (Mohamed) Bean
Omg, that’s exactly who he looks like!
Another outstanding immigrant that contributes to our economy so we must celebrate him and his culture and his attacks on emergency personnel (which I’m sure are accidental and misunderstood). Hooray for diversity; with a bit more of it, everything will be turn out fine.
They must have made him uncomfortable by being insensitive to his culture. Shame on them.
Ah yes release him. Thanks Judge Useless. Shands needs to bar him from any more medical care. His medical care is a waste of taxpayer dollars. Obviously he didn’t feel too bad. What a scudge bag.
Dude gives new meaning to the word alien.
WTF he must be possessed….🤡👹
The liberal judicial system is alive and well in the 8th circuit.
ROR on a hate crime and felony charge. No where else can you commit felonies and no bail.
The system is broken.
Mark Moseley released him on his own recognizance? He is a nutjob with a vendetta. This is a tragedy waiting to happen.
What is the possible argument for releasing this dude without bail? If he suffers from a mental illness, he shouldn’t be driving people around as an Uber driver either. Makes no sense.
another crime in a house of Tax Exempt , but at least this guy is not a pastor fondling dozens of altar boys like hundreds others . END FAKE RELIGIONS . .
If you want to play that game, let’s compare notes when the Epstein list comes out in January.
MOSELEY…ROR…AGAIN?!?!?!?!!! Moseley needs to GO!!!
dudes an uber driver. ummm..ok
I doubt it will continue much longer.
