Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Trhystin Aurielle Price, 18, was arrested last night and charged with breaking into a home with two juveniles and stealing over $7,000 in property, including three guitars. 13-year-old Avan Canter and 15-year-old Andrew Valentino II were also arrested.
The responding Gainesville Police Department officer reported that at about 11:30 a.m. on May 26, a witness saw Price and two juveniles leaving the victim’s property, carrying boxes and other items. The officer’s investigation found that the three suspects entered the fenced property through an unlocked gate and then entered the home through an unlocked sliding glass door.
A neighbor of the victim reportedly knew one of the juveniles and told the officer where he lived; the juvenile reportedly implicated Price and showed the officer where Price lives; both juveniles reportedly gave descriptions of the items that were stolen.
Price reportedly admitted that he had unlawfully entered the victim’s property and had stolen and/or facilitated the theft of items from the victim’s bedroom. Price reportedly provided details about the interior of the home, and he said his foot had fallen through a wooden deck; the officer noted the hole when he responded to the call.
Price reportedly implicated the juveniles, and some of the items were reportedly found in the juveniles’ bedrooms; other items were reportedly found in Price’s bedroom.
The stolen items include an Apple computer monitor, mouse, keyboard, JBL speaker, numerous items of jewelry, three guitars, music equipment, and “various trinkets,” with a combined value of $7,000.
Price has been charged with burglary of a dwelling and grand theft from a dwelling. He has no adult criminal history, and Judge George Wright set bail at $35,000.
Canter and Valentino were booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.

“School’s out for summer
School’s out forever
School’s been blown to pieces
No more pencils
No more books
No more teacher’s dirty looks, yeah
Well, we got no class
And we got no principles
And we got no innocence
We can’t even think of a word that rhymes”
Alice Cooper
And….now watch what kind of trouble they get into.
Unfortunely you have to lock everything up when you leave home. Its going to be long summer with these idiots running around.
Was the location of the burglary noted?
This isn’t just a matter of school being out, it also has something to do with the lack of discipline and other values that are missing in today’s society.
The two juvies may want to reevaluate who they hang out with — Price is a snitch.
Another word of warning to parents — depending on the home, these three could have spent their summer vacations in the ground somewhere.
Not common to release names of juveniles…..wonder why now?
