Gainesville man arrested for exposing himself to female Lyft driver
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – James Grant, 29, was arrested yesterday after allegedly exposing himself to a female Lyft driver.
At about 7:40 p.m. on March 12, a Gainesville Police Department officer responded to Bivens Cove Apartments (3301 SW 13th Street), where Grant was reportedly sitting on the Lyft driver’s hood.
The victim said she drove Grant to Bivens Cove, and when they arrived, she told him they had arrived; she said she turned around and saw that Grant’s genitals were exposed and he was touching himself. She said she asked him to get out of the car, and he asked if he could stay so he could finish; she said this continued for about two minutes.
When she called 911, she said Grant was sitting on her car and his phone was still inside her car.
Post Miranda, Grant reportedly said he had been scratching himself, but he eventually admitted that his genitals had been exposed; the officer noted that Grant was unable to explain why he needed to have his genitals exposed before he could scratch his itch.
The officer also reported that there was a liquid stain in the crotch area of Grant’s pants, and Grant reportedly said it was urine because he urinated on himself when the victim said she was calling the police.
Grant has been charged with indecent exposure. He has no local criminal history except for a few traffic charges that were dropped, and Judge Susan Miller-Jones set bail at $25,000.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

$25,000 is an expensive handy J especially self induced. Needs to stop drinking unicorn urine and act right.
