Gainesville man arrested for hit and run, along with separate stalking charges
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Nicholas Tyre Brown, 25, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage and separate charges of aggravated stalking, throwing a rock into a car, and property damage.
The stalking victim told an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy that she previously dated Brown but had told him multiple times that she did not want any contact with him. She said that despite her requests, Brown had sent her numerous text messages and had previously showed up at another location, where he took her keys from her and got into her car to wait for her.
The victim said that when she arrived at Terwilliger Elementary on October 3 to drop off her child, Brown was waiting for her at the entrance to the parking lot, and he walked in front of her vehicle as she left the school. She said she kept driving so he would not try to get in her car, and Brown took a rock from his pocket and threw it at the rear window of her vehicle.
The deputy reported that surveillance video at the school showed the incident, and the damage to the victim’s vehicle was valued at $280.
On October 9, Brown reportedly ran a stop sign and hit another vehicle in the 3300 block of SW 32nd Terrace; Brown allegedly fled the scene of the accident but was arrested by a Gainesville Police Department officer a short time later in the 2900 block of SW Archer Road.
Brown has juvenile convictions between 2014 and 2017, 14 adult felony convictions (none violent), and one adult misdemeanor conviction (non-violent). Judge Gloria Walker ordered him held without bail pending a motion from the State Attorney’s Office to hold him without bail until trial on the aggravated stalking charge. Judge Walker also set bail at $10,000 on the charge of throwing a rock into a car and $5,000 on the property damage charge. Judge Kristine Van Vorst set bail at $15,000 on the hit and run charge.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

2 felony convictions for every year he’s been an adult with no mention of prison time. WTF?
This guy is an all around POS.

Jk…everyone on here can read. You don’t need to cut and paste and then use your emoji army.
Glad Judge Walker ordered him held without bail.
So, what kind of jail term did he get for 14 felonies?
Nobody gets arrested for just 1 felony. They pile charged on, so they can deal them down .. 1 arrest for marijuana in your car can end with 6-7 felonies that have no merit..Nobody that has been arrested gets just 1 felony charge. Is how rank is achieved
