Gainesville man arrested for lewd or lascivious battery on 13-year-old girl

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Tuiwan Korin White, 35, was arrested last night and charged with lewd or lascivious battery on a 13-year-old girl.
A 911 call was received on June 5 about a suspicious vehicle at an abandoned house at 1404 NE 31st Avenue; a Gainesville Police Department officer responded and made contact with White and the girl, who were both in the back seat of the vehicle. Officers separated White and the girl and interviewed them about why they were at the abandoned house.
White reportedly told an officer that he was “up to no good” and “hollering a little female.” He reportedly said he had been smoking marijuana when he saw the girl walk by and that he called out to her; he said she got into his car, and they were “chillin’.” The officer reported that White became increasingly uneasy and was sweating profusely; he said several times that he “messed up.”
Meanwhile, another officer was checking whether the victim had any warrants, and dispatch told the officer that the victim is 13 years old. White overheard this and reportedly said, “It look like she just said she underage, man, so I’m tired.”
The victim reportedly said she had been seeing White for a couple of months and that they’d had sexual intercourse the previous night. The victim was then taken to the Child Protective Team for a forensic interview. During the interview, she reportedly said she met White while she was walking to school and that she told him she was 15 years old. She said White had promised to divorce his wife to be with her but had to wait until he would no longer have to pay child support. She said White had told her not to tell anyone about him, and she was worried that he could go to jail. She also reportedly said she could not remember his name, and she referred to him as “the man.”
Post Miranda, White reportedly requested a lawyer and did not want to answer any questions.
White has no local criminal history; bail information is unavailable.

Unfortunely this happened. Where are the girls parents. Not sure on what time of day but I knew exactly where both my kids were at 13, and even when they were 18. Open parent/child communication. Now that this POS has been caught all he could up with she told him that she was 15 for an excuse. 15 is still under age. There are way too many Chesters walking around anymore.

I’ve been able to have personal relationships with many judges, law enforcement agencies through the state of FLORIDA. I don’t condone Mr. Whites behavior but I have A problem when one makes it seem like it where he lives has or had anything to do with his behavior. I don’t know Mr. White. Fact check on my profession before you SPEAK.
I doubt this is his first underage rodeo. It happens in any community where it’s enabled by facilitators. Such facilitators where self-interest is paramount, prevents them from facing hard realities. So the enablement persists longer.

According to the story, she did go back to see him. Not only that, she had been seeing him for months. She also lied about her age. Why would she do that and why would her parents allow her to or at least not know something? If you think that was okay, if you haven’t had any children, please don’t.

Fact check Mr white was employed at Tacahale. Also being that I was a SINGLE FATHER .Most the time I knew or thought I knew where both of my children were at. However when my children became adults then both told me. How then broke curfew and did many things that I didn’t approve of. So let’s NOT pass judgment yet on the parents or parent yet. Mr white will be getting ALOT of deserved time in prison. From her statements alone HE IS DONE.
