Gainesville man arrested for molesting 15-year-old

BY JENNIFER CABRERA

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Prince Emmanuel Simmons, 36, was arrested yesterday and charged with kidnapping and lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim under 16 years of age.

The victim reported to Gainesville Police Department officers that Simmons consistently made her uncomfortable when she spent time at his house and that on one occasion, he grabbed her arm and pulled her next to him on the couch, keeping her from pulling away, and touched her inappropriately.

Simmons has nine felony convictions and 18 misdemeanor convictions, including four convictions for exposure of sexual organs. He is being held on $1,000,000 bail.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • There is way too much of this child rape going on! One rape is too much of anyone but especially a child. This makes me angry!

  • At least the bail was high. Can we bring back the death penalty for people who take away children’s childhoods?

  • He must not have gotten enough help from the shtty of Gangsville. According to mayor Poe, there are very few real criminals, most just lack the proper assistance. Like counseling, feeling wanted, etc. Idea! He can move in with Poe and family. Po’s got 2 daughters that can help rehabilitate him. Surely his wife won’t mind. And with that big single family residence he can accommodate several more.

That’s what progressives give you. They can be rehabilitated, they said.. Sure

  • Our lawyers judges must be on the take with crime, mental health, sex offender, addiction and behavior industries. There’s no other explanation for this happening so often.
