Gainesville man arrested for selling handgun to a juvenile

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Darryl Dwayne Latson Jr., 26, was arrested on Tuesday on a warrant for selling a handgun to a juvenile.
A Gainesville Police Department officer reported that Latson arranged to meet the juvenile and his friend at 9:30 p.m. on December 22 to sell the juvenile a firearm, and then Latson sold a Glock 30 (.45 caliber) pistol to the juvenile and his friend for $600, along with a small amount of marijuana. The gun reportedly came with a black Glock case and a drum magazine with a capacity of 30 rounds.
The officer reported that the juvenile had previously purchased marijuana from Latson “six to seven times,” and his friend had purchased firearms from Latson in the past. Latson was reportedly aware that the juvenile was 17 years old because that information was discussed during an October 2025 traffic stop when the juvenile was in a vehicle with Latson.
Latson, who is described as a home health aide in a court document, has been charged with transferring a firearm to a minor. He has no criminal history, and Judge Meshon Rawls ordered him released on his own recognizance with the conditions that he possess no firearms and have no contact with the juvenile.

I don’t know who’s a bigger threat to society, this guy who’s selling guns to juveniles, or Judge Meshon Rawls, who releases these types of threats back onto the streets to influence and further endanger our youth and others.
It’s pretty clear he checks her boxes for “catch and release.”
As long as the radical Democrat politicians continue to run the city and county, ‘gun violence’ will continue. The article didn’t mention whether the gun was stolen, but someone dealing illegally in guns needs to visit the federal judicial system. It works, unlike our local idiots and wannabe do-gooders.
I am curious to why there is no public outrage by the city commission, the left, etc about thus guy. Here is a guy helping to continue the saga about black kids killing black kids by providing the tools and the drug induced courage to carry out the safa. Oh WAIT, maybe this guy doesn’t fit the Woke side’s suspect poster description.
