ALL CHARGES DROPPED: Gainesville man arrested for stalking woman who lives in his apartment complex
Staff report
Updated on May 6, 2025: All charges in this case were dropped on May 5.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Nicholas James Wolf, 32, was arrested yesterday and charged with stalking, video voyeurism, and indecent exposure after allegedly standing outside a woman’s window and masturbating on multiple dates.
The victim called 911 on April 7 and said she saw a man standing outside her bedroom window and masturbating at Windsor Park Apartments (3705 SW 27th Street). She said she also saw him walking around her apartment complex the next morning around 9 a.m.
On April 9, the victim reported that the same man walked by her window at about 2:30 p.m. The responding officer noted that the victim’s bedroom window faces a retention pond, there is no walking path in that space, and there is no reason for someone to be walking in that area.
After seeing the man on April 9, the victim installed a surveillance camera, and at about 11:35 p.m. on April 25, the camera reportedly showed the same man masturbating outside the victim’s window. The man was standing right up against the building, between the window and some bushes, within the curtilage of the apartment.
The surveillance video also reportedly showed the man holding a cell phone up to the window with the flash on. After a few seconds, the man lowered the cell phone and walked away, with his genitals still exposed.
The victim felt so unsafe that she is now staying elsewhere; she told the responding Gainesville Police Department officer that she was afraid the man could escalate his behavior and break into her apartment or physically harm her.
Officers identified Wolf as a possible suspect, and the victim reportedly identified him in a photo line-up. The victim said she did not know Wolf and had never seen him before these incidents. Officers learned that Wolf also lives in Windsor Park.
Post Miranda, Wolf reportedly confirmed that he lives in Windsor Park and often walks around the complex looking in apartment windows to see his posture and correct it. He denied looking into the victim’s window despite admitting that he frequently uses apartment windows as mirrors.
A long-time friend of Wolf reportedly identified him as the man in the victim’s videos.
Wolf has no local criminal history, and Judge Meshon Rawls ordered him held on $30,000 bail.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
I wonder how many people he’s done that to. He’s probably a serial rapist or murderer.
Scary, and he was released. He also resides in the same apartment complex.??
Good thing they identified him; he may be using the alias ‘Les Dixon’
Obvious danger to the community and caught on video. Should’ve been held without bail until trial.
See you later masterbaitor
She’s probably lying.
That is one I’ve never heard before…”I was checking out my posture in the reflection while my willy was hanging out.” Priceless!
She didn’t have anything to cover the window with?
It’s not her responsibility to prevent peeping tom’s from peeping but I do agree, if it were me, I’d have my windows covered especially at night.
Are you saying that she made him stare in her window and masturbate? Your comment reminds me of women who report being raped and then being blamed for it because of what they were wearing. It’s time that men were held accountable for their own bad behavior and for people to stop blaming the victim. I would think that she has the expectation of privacy in her own space, window coverings or not.
Classy- blame the victim. Smh
A ‘wolf’ in creeps clothing.
True.
