LEVY COUNTY, Fla. – A Gainesville man suffered non-life-threatening injuries today in a two-vehicle crash in Levy County; a Trenton woman in the other vehicle also suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but her passenger was seriously injured.
According to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol, at about 4:12 p.m. on September 18, the 53-year-old woman was driving a Chevrolet Trailblazer northbound on CR 345; after passing another vehicle and re-entering the northbound lane, she lost control of her vehicle, crossed the center line, and hit a southbound Lexus ES300 driven by a 61-year-old Gainesville man.
The Trailblazer rotated and overturned, and the Lexus came to a stop on the west shoulder of the road. The drivers both suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital. A 23-year-old Trenton man who was a passenger in the Trailblazer suffered serious injuries and was also transported to a local hospital.
Sounds like she was passing without enough room.
