Gainesville man sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading to 20 child pornography charges

Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Alexander William Callison, 30, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, followed by 10 years of sexual offender probation, after entering a plea of nolo contendere to 20 child pornography charges.

Callison was originally arrested on June 4, 2025, after a CyberTip led to a Kik account that reportedly included 651 images/videos, 591 of which showed the same person masturbating (a thin, muscular white male with a cross tattoo on his chest and a second tattoo on his forearm).

A second CyberTip reportedly included chats with other Kik users who identified themselves as minors, and Callison sent videos of himself masturbating after the other users said they were minors. The chats also reportedly included sixteen instances in which Callison asked users who identified themselves as minors for explicit videos or images.

A phone number used to create the first Kik account was associated with Callison, and the upload IP address in the second CyberTip was associated with the same phone number.

On June 5, 2026, Callison entered a plea of nolo contendere to 10 counts of using a computer to solicit a minor, five counts of transmission of material harmful to minors, two counts of possession of child pornography, and three counts of directing or promoting a sexual performance by a child.

Judge Susanne Wilson Bullard sentenced him to three concurrent sentences of 15 years in prison for the three counts of directing or promoting a sexual performance by a child, and she added 10 concurrent sentences of five years of sex offender probation for using a computer to solicit a minor, followed by an additional seven concurrent sentences of five years of sex offender probation on the remaining charges. Callison will be designated as a sexual offender with lifetime registration obligations.

Callison has been held in the Alachua County Jail since his original arrest and will be credited 370 days toward the prison sentence.
