Gainesville man sentenced to five years in prison for possession of child pornography

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Aaron Pioquinto, 20, was sentenced yesterday to five years in state prison, followed by five years of sexual offender probation, after entering a plea of nolo contendere to 10 counts of possession of child pornography. Pioquinto will also be registered as a Sexual Offender.

Pioquinto was arrested on February 16, 2023, after investigators received a CyberTip with an IP address linked to his residence. In a Post-Miranda interview, Pioquinto reportedly admitted downloading and storing the 19 videos and 936 images that were found in his Google Drive account. He also reportedly confirmed that he traded child sexual abuse material with other people. Sixty videos were reportedly found on one of his accounts, and preliminary analysis of one of his devices found more images and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children.

Pioquinto’s ten sentences will be served concurrently.
