Gainesville woman arrested after allegedly intentionally hitting a man and two ducks with her vehicle

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Shalecia Labria Garrison, 33, was arrested yesterday and charged with intentionally hitting a man with her car in July 2024; she also allegedly hit and killed two ducks.
On July 2, 2024, the victim told a Gainesville Police Department officer that he and Garrison had gotten into a verbal argument because he was standing in the road and feeding ducks. The victim said Garrison stopped her SUV and told him to get out of the road or she would run him and the ducks over. He said Garrison accelerated quickly and hit him and two ducks with her vehicle.
The officer reported that the victim’s hand was bandaged and there were two dead ducks in the road.
Garrison reportedly admitted that she had argued with the victim while she was in her vehicle; she admitted that she hit the ducks but denied hitting the victim with her car.
A warrant for Garrison’s arrest was issued by Judge Denise Ferrero on May 1, charging her with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and recommending that she be released on her own recognizance. Garrison has no criminal convictions; she was arrested in 2021 for battery, but the disposition of that case is unavailable on the court records website.

She may have been charged back then & had a warrant since then but didn’t get found till yesterday.
arrant for Garrison’s arrest was issued by Judge Denise Ferrero on May 1, 2025 because the incident happened in July of 2024, you can’t issue a warrant BEFORE the crime. so it took nearly a year for charges. FYI
Seize her car, it was used in the commission of a felony. Someone might want a 2002 Nissan Altima… LOL>

A violent felony and the judge wants ROR. How does our justice system expect to make GNV and AC safe for the law abiding citizens when they do stuff like this?
Is she a drug dealer for the judges and lawyers? Why is her previous case disappeared from the website? And why did it take 10 months to bring the current case to a judge now?

Road rage …should have had to pay a bond for her stupidity and running over & killing 2 innocent ducks a person was feeding…what a tragic incident for the victim.

I have had the experience of a black female yell at me that she was going to run me over in Gainesville Florida Alachua County. I was standing outside my front apartment door. The black female drove up in a silver colored car. She half way stepped out of the car. Started talking to a black tenant of the apartment complex. Looked at me. Told me to mind my own business and then proceeded to tell me she was going to run me over with her car. I bare witness to the above statement.

These type of humans drive just as close to a person walking or riding a Bicycle so that gravity pulls the person walking or riding their bicycle or moped under their car wheels and car carriage so the person hit experiences the worst bodily pain ever imagined. The innocents ankles get broken between their bike and the car fender. They get burnt by the heat under the car that purposely hit to kill them. Knee caps and hips get torn ripped open and dislocated and broken. This City of Gainesville Florida Alachua County Better Start Caging these Crazy Inhumane Drivers who are murdering innocent people walking, riding a bicycle, or skateboarding or driving a electric bike or motorcycle. These people mean to to Run You Over With Their Car And Kill You. Make No Mistake. I have witnesses this for myself. Trying to run me over walking. However, I Won and They and their Car Lost. They picked the wrong One. Thank You
It’s hard to take any cyclists seriously when every day I see them riding in the road and then when they come to a light they jump on the sidewalk and after the light back into the road. We have no idea where you will go half the time because maybe 5% of cyclists even use hand signals. Bike lanes are annoying and all, but nothing drives me as crazy as being stuck behind a cyclist on 6th riding right in the middle of the lane.
What is wrong with these people?
CHARGE This Loser with Assault & Battery with Intent to Kill, Animal Cruelty, Reckless Endangerment & Stalking.
