Gainesville woman arrested for attacking McDonald’s employee

Staff report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Camille Alize Orozco, 23, was arrested early this morning after allegedly attacking a McDonald’s employee after a dispute over a food order; she also allegedly tried to enter the employee’s vehicle, caused a disturbance that made other employees feel unsafe, and tried to kick a police officer.

At about 3:48 a.m. on January 28, a Gainesville Police Department officer responded to the McDonald’s off Archer Road (3826 SW 40th Boulevard), where Orozco had reportedly argued with an employee over a food order. Orozco allegedly followed the employee out to her vehicle, and when the employee got into her vehicle, Orozco allegedly tried to get in the vehicle by pulling on the door handle multiple times.

After repeatedly telling Orozco to leave, the employee got out of her vehicle, and Orozco allegedly pushed the employee multiple times, causing her to stumble backwards, before a witness intervened.

The officer reported that Orozco was screaming and causing a public disturbance that affected the operation of the business and made employees feel unsafe as they tried to serve other customers.

After Orozco was handcuffed and escorted outside, she reportedly pulled away from the officer, and when the officer tried to search her, she allegedly tried to kick the officer in the face, but the officer was able to move out of the way. Orozco allegedly continued to behave combatively on the way to the jail and at the jail.

Post Miranda, Orozco reportedly said she had gotten into an argument while she was at the restaurant. The officer reported that Orozco appeared to be highly intoxicated and had slurred speech and difficulty balancing.

Orozco has been charged with attempted burglary of an occupied vehicle, resisting an officer with violence, battery, and disturbing the peace. She has no criminal history, and Judge Meshon Rawls set bail at $34,000.

  • What a way to discover you’re in the wrong restaurant.

One of life’s lessons: you can’t always have it your way—especially if the way leads to a stint in jail.

Stupid people do really stupid things when they mix alcohol and a late-night craving in public.

  • McDonald food and alcohol may not mix together real well. At least she FAFO when you do stupid things you get the bozo prize.
