Gainesville woman charged with making repeated false 911 calls and hitting parked vehicles in Woodland Park
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Alicia Nicole Walker, 30, was arrested early this morning and charged with disorderly conduct, hit and run with property damage, and making false 911 calls after allegedly making at least nine 911 calls during which she did not report any crime but used derogatory language toward the call-taker and made threats to shoot call-takers and other unspecified people.
At about 1:07 a.m. on September 6, a 911 call was received, and the caller reportedly said she was going to run people over with her vehicle; the call-taker reported that a verbal argument could be heard in the background. The caller reportedly used derogatory language toward the call-taker and hung up.
At 1:17 a.m., a second 911 call was received; the caller said there was an emergency at her location, but Gainesville Police Department officers at that location in Woodland Park (the 200 block of SE 20th Place) could not find the caller and later reported that Walker had driven past them at the time without stopping or letting them know she had called 911.
Two more calls were received around 1:18 a.m. from the same number, and the caller hung up both times. At 1:19 a.m., another 911 call was received, and this time the caller “cussed out” the call-taker and hung up.
At 1:29 a.m. another 911 call was received, and the caller asked officers to come back to her location and speak with her again. When officers arrived, Walker allegedly walked away without saying she was the person who called 911.
At 1:43 a.m., another 911 call was received, and the caller reportedly said that if officers didn’t respond, she would “be her own law enforcement” and then hung up. The same caller reportedly called right back and said, “You’ve got two minutes until I start shooting my gun” and “The 911 operator needs to die, too.”
At 1:59 a.m., a 911 caller reportedly said, “I’m gonna start shooting b**ches in a minute” and “Where’s my gun at?”
Around that time, officers called for additional backup because of the threat to shoot people, and at 2:01 a.m., a 911 caller reportedly said she only mentioned her gun because officers weren’t coming.
The arresting officer reported that during the incident, Walker hit multiple parked vehicles with her vehicle, leading to several verbal arguments. The officer reported that she was yelling at people and making threats to fight, shoot, and run over people.
Walker has three felony convictions (one violent) and four misdemeanor convictions (one violent). She has a pending sworn complaint for allegedly using a bank card stolen from an elderly man to make over $1,500 in purchases. Judge Susan Miller-Jones set bail at $50,000.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.Â
Nice bail. (sarcasm)
Another Eastside story. Just the normal way to blowing off steam. Move along nothing to see on a early Friday morning.
Baker Act…
“The officer reported that she was yelling at people and making threats to fight, shoot, and run over people.”
Sounds like another typical night at the ‘Eastside’ rodeo.
