Gainesville woman sentenced to state prison in child pornography plea deal

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Quincie Mae Grube, 25, has been sentenced to two years in state prison, followed by three years of sex offender probation, after pleading to one count of unlawful use of a two-way communications device.

Grube was arrested on June 23, 2022, after Gainesville Police Department served a search warrant at her home and determined that she had shared a video of a pre-pubescent child being raped on Facebook Messenger. Grube reportedly denied being sexually attracted to minors and denied viewing/soliciting child sexual abuse material outside of this incident but said that she is a “people pleaser” and when her friend requested a child sexual abuse video, she wanted to find and send him one.

Grube was originally charged with distribution of child exploitation material and solicitation of child exploitation material, but an amended charging document filed on October 17 changed the charges to one count of possession of child sexual abuse material and two counts of unlawful use of a two-way communications device. In an October 18 plea agreement, Grube entered a plea of nolo contendere to one count of unlawful use of a two-way communications device and was sentenced to two years in state prison, followed by three years of sex offender probation. Judge Phillip Pena signed the plea agreement, and Assistant State Attorney Brooke King prosecuted the case.
