See you on Thursday, April 18, and don’t forget to bring your appetite!
Remember to take along your copy to read of Alachua County Circuit Court Case Amended Complaint of 3/6/2024 in 01 2023 CA 004161, Euliano vs. Dyrkolbotn.
Enjoy while Paying $35 to sample comfort food, knowing you are patronizing and enriching an owner accused of fraud in the lawsuit.
But hey, what is stealing a million dollars? Petty cash to someone who owes $200 million in bankruptcy court.
I don’t patronize any businesses in Celebration Point since I found out they managed to get an extra 1% sales tax to pay for this bankrupt development. I suspect this development will have additional $$$ shortfalls that someone will try to wrangle taxpayers into bailing them out.
Celebration Pointe is composed fo fifty to one hundred separate LLCs owned by the same person. Hard to track the money flow, doncha know.
Three of these LLCs have filed for bankruptcy, owing about $200 million.
One of the three bankrupt companies is “SHD-Celebration Pointe, LLC.”(L13000159169)
SHD-Celebration Pointe, LLC, is owner of another business, “Spurrier’s Gridiron Grill Celebration Pointe, LLC.”(L19000104531) located at 4860 Steve Spurrier Way.
They may run a restaurant, but they do not own one.
The restaurant building is owned by SDPS Real Estate Investments V, LLC(L18000065802) which is owned by SHD-Celebration Pointe, LLC. (See how the LLC shell corporation game works?)
The restaurant owner has not been a model citizen. They failed to pay their Alachua County property taxes for 2019 and the county tax collector sold a Tax Certificate for the unpaid amount.
They failed to pay their Alachua County property taxes for 2020 and the county tax collector sold a Tax Certificate for the unpaid amount.
To date the 2023 property taxes of $68,888.01 have not been paid, but a tax certificate will not be sold June 1 because filing bankruptcy freezes the county from selling a tax certificate.
Many of the properties at Celebration Pointe have delinquent taxes owed to Alachua County, and tax certificates sold for previous years.
Meanwhile, Celebration Pointe wants Alachua County and the State of Florida to GIVE them MILLIONS of free money to host a disaster called the World Masters Track Meet. Your tax dollars at work.
Remember there is a higher sales tax on everything you buy in Celebration Point-ee. And I hope that with all the bankruptcy stuff, the State Auditor will be looking at the books to make sure that sales tax is being properly spent and not improperly pocketed.
Reminder: It’s food truck barf day. Enjoy your Costco samples on toothpicks. Enjoy the extreme lack of atmosphere at Celebration Pointe. It’s a High Class Brand and you are all High Class people for being there and being rich enough to pay that extra 1% sales tax.
P.S. Remind them Celebration Pointe deadbeats to pay their damn Alachua County property taxes.
