The call originated as a smell of smoke. The first unit to arrive located the fire and called for additional resources. Crews from GFR Stations 1, 2, 3, 5, and 8 responded to quickly get the fire under control and extinguished. Noo injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

  • A E-bike lithium battery ignited the fire. This also can happen with E cars too. Charging them in closed spaces or by use of alternative methods such as extension cords or make shift plugs cause the lithium battery to heat up to the point of exploding. Salt water also can cause them to ignite/malfunction. Too bad for the business. It sucks.
