Good News Arts in High Springs Re-opens to the Public

Press release from Good News Arts
Good News Arts, Inc. is excited to announce our grand re-opening to the public of our new location on Main Street in High Springs at 18555 High Springs Main Street. We invite the community to join us for a day of art and celebration on March 19, 2022, which will include:
· Our first exhibition of 2022, Blood Orange, will feature work by artist Brittany Watkins. Her brightly colored, laborious installations and performances examine contemporary society through a lens of psycho-analysis and social critique by deconstructing everyday objects, actions, and experiences. These conceptual investigations reside somewhere between public and private space, reflecting a framework of larger social issues. The gallery will be open all day staring at 10 a.m. with a free reception with the artist from 5-8 p.m. with refreshments. Learn more about the artist and her work here: https://www.goodnewsarts.com/home/coming-up-in-the-gallery-brittany-watkins
· Our participation in the Downtown High Springs Art Walk from 12-5 will feature local artist vendors around our new space.
· Our Saturday Workshop from 10 a.m.-noon featuring the Cyanotype Process. Participants can register at www.goodnewsarts.com.
· Plus March 19 is the closing date for The Heart of High Springs week-long event, Celebrating History, Celebrating Art, and our Director will present Public Art as Monuments to History at 2 p.m. at the High Springs Woman’s Club.
We are also excited to re-launch our monthly programming, which includes workshops, community meet ups, Youth Arts programming, regular exhibitions, and more.
Located in High Springs, Florida, Good News Arts collaborates with local and regional artists to provide creative education opportunities, exhibitions, and cultural programming to the community. Good News Arts also serves as a community center, free and accessible to all.
